After a DIFFICULT week, we hit the road again!

There are weeks more difficult than the others and this week was one. We who are used to living outside the Van, we are too often confined to it because of the elements, between the wind, the cold, the bugs …

It was starting to weigh on our morale and we had to change something. After a last week in Cap-des-Rosier, we decided to hit the road again to seek all the positive in this nomadic lifestyle.

We have a glitch with the VR

This week, we had a small glitch with Martine, nothing very serious, but impossible to repair quickly in Gaspésie. So here we are, here we are in Beauce at Safari Condo, they were very understanding of our situation and they were able to accommodate us quickly!

Also, we said to ourselves that as long as having done all this road and being near Quebec, why not go down the magnificent Jacques-Cartier River with our Raft Packs!

Wow what a great adventure!

A SPECTACULAR point of view!

This is our 2nd week in the Gaspé and we never tire of watching the sea, it’s so beautiful!

But we also learn to deal with the weather in the Gaspé. The least we can say is that the forecast is not very weak and the weather changes completely in an instant.

But it wasn’t good, this week, we hiked Mont Saint-Alban in Forillon National Park and as a bonus, we’re cooking one of our favorite sandwiches.

We finally settle in GASPÉSIE!

This week, we are finally settling in the Gaspé! ❤️

In this period of deconfinement, it is not easy to plan your holidays while respecting health rules. We therefore suggest 3 bass camps where you can spend your holidays this summer.

One thing is certain, Quebec is magnificent and has a lot to offer, this is a great opportunity to discover it and contribute to our economy.

Finally! We can start practicing our favorite activities again and what a joy it was to put our noses out. Phew, that it did us the greatest good, and what about the wonderful temperature!

Also, it’s also officially the start of a new season with our videos! We start to publish on a regular basis, hiking, biking, kayaking & Van life and many other adventures.

Our plans for this summer ?!

👋 Hi,

We’ll tell you a bit about our plans for this summer, OK, we know it’ll be a normal summer, there’s nothing much normal right now 😢

But having said that, we have to keep going forward and adapting, so we’re starting to film again this week. To start, micro-adventures in our region, great photo outings, cycling, kayaking and hiking. Of course, always respecting the instructions issued by governments.

Thereafter, on June 1 we have to move, no choice, our temporary accommodation ends. And as long as we have to move, we plan to settle in the region and get closer to nature, the Gaspé speaks to us a lot ❤️.

We also want to thank our sponsors who are joining us for the summer:

Adios MEXICO!

👋 Hello everyone!

We wanted you to make one last video about Mexico before moving on to other adventures. We share with you the differences that marked us the most during this trip. Yes, Mexico is in North America, but it is clearly not the same as in Canada and the United States.

For us it was the first time in this country, but certainly not the last. We really enjoyed discovering Mexico with its beaches, but also its colorful architecture and the warm welcome of its people. We left our comfort zone and are not really disappointed.

Our last destination in Mexico 😢

Here we are, here we are at our last Mexican destination 😭 for this year 😃.

Lo de Marcos is a small village on the Pacific coast north of Puerto Vallarta. Many Quebecers choose this paradise to spend the winter there 🏝. Despite the large number of expats, the village has retained its authenticity. Here, everyone knows each other and greets each other, no matter where they come from.

In addition, the beach is beautiful, the waves are not too big and there is everything you need in small shops.

We should have a pleasant stay, especially as we expect the visit. 🛩

Our plans for summer 2020

👋 Hi!

We thought it was the right time to announce our plans for this summer!

Or will we spend our summer?
We will be in Quebec and we are really very excited! 🤩

From the end of April to the end of October, we will travel through our beautiful province, Montreal, Quebec, Charlevoix, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie, Côte-Nord and Basse-Côte-Nord, Abitibi …

We will make you discover in our videos our beautiful cities and villages, but also, really fun activities to do there; hiking, sea kayaking, raft pack, canoe, bike and more!

For the occasion, partners are joining our adventures and we are very proud to have them with us! Safari Condo, P&H Sea Kayaks and Kayak Junky

P.s. This Sunday, there will be no video 😢, it’s a bit covered here at Lo de Marcos and we would like to present the place to you at its best! The capsule will come later in the week.

We visit Guadalajara

We LOVED Guadalajara 🇲🇽 !! 🤩

Tlaquepaque reminded us of the little Champlain in Quebec, there are lots of beautiful boutiques and original art galleries. Everything is on a pedestrian street, the colors are there and it is very beautiful.

The historic “centro” of Guadalajara is superb with its colonial architecture. Access to cars is also restricted, but the area is much larger. It’s very nice to walk around!

Our favorite goes to the “centro” of Guadalajara, which is different from all the colorful cities we have visited so far!

Live in VR with a CAT!

Today we’re talking about Ptit Biscuit, our not-so-small cat!

Many of you have asked us questions about how it is to eat with a cat 🐈 in a small RV; litter, heat, adaptation, harness…

Well, we’re answering you today in this video, and if you have any other questions on the subject, now’s the time to ask us!

A day at Spa Termal Tlalocan!

This week, we settled on the edge of Lake Chapala, the largest in Mexico and even larger than Lac-Saint-Jean!

The place is also famous for its thermal springs, and as we love to get drunk in the thermal springs, we had no choice but to go there!

Unlike the ones we have already visited, the experience here is a little different, since in each bath, they add an amazing ingredient!

Which bath would you like to try?

Casa Estrella RV Park, Guanajuato

This week we set up at Casa Estrella RV Park, a full service campsite located near the city of Guanajuato in Mexico. We are very well there, the campsite is adjacent to a luxury hotel and we have access to its facilities. In the afternoon, we bathe on our breaks and at the end of the day, we take advantage of the view on the terrace, what a good life!

The tourist center of Guanajuato is easily accessible with a taxi for 50 pesos, it’s really a beautiful city and fun to visit.

Camping costs 300 pesos a night, about $ 20

We visit the pyramids of Teotihuacán 🤩!

We are big fans of the golden cities! So even if it’s not Inca pyramids, it’s very moving voir to see for the very first time a complex of pyramids as huge and impressive as Teotihuacán.

If you plan to take this tour, we recommend good walking shoes and lots of water. Let’s say they liked to put stairs everywhere. 🤣

Discovering Oaxaca

We had a lot of fun discovering the beautiful city of Oaxaca Mexique, Mexico with the help of our friends Christine and Bernard who live nearby.

The Santo Domingo de Guzmán temple particularly impressed us with its exhibits on Mexican history, it was fascinating! 🤓

Next steps, the Pyramid of the Sun!
Who here listened to the mysterious cities of gold? 🌞
